Campbell brings an impressive college resume to the Chargers’ receiving corps. His journey began at Illinois before he transferred to Nevada for two productive seasons.
The talented wideout then finished his collegiate career at South Carolina, where he accumulated 87 receptions for 1,463 yards and three touchdowns.
One memorable highlight came during the Citrus Bowl when Campbell faced his former Illinois teammates and broke free for a spectacular 60-yard reception.
Standing 6-foot-4 and weighing 205 pounds, Campbell gives the Chargers a physical presence on the outside that should complement their existing receiver room.
His experience dates back to 2019 when he first suited up for Illinois, giving him valuable game experience that the Chargers coaching staff clearly values.
Campbell’s combination of size and field awareness makes him an intriguing addition who could contribute immediately.
On the flip side, Williams entered the NFL picture after starting his college career at Austin Peay, where he spent four seasons before transferring to Appalachian State.
The offensive lineman caught the attention of scouts with his 50 career starts in college, earning him a spot with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent following the 2024 draft.
Though Williams spent last season on injured reserve, his potential remains untapped as he continues his professional journey.
