The New York Giants wrapped up their two-day rookie minicamp this weekend, hosting over 50 undrafted free agents eager to prove themselves worthy of an NFL roster spot.
Among the hopefuls, one cornerback managed to turn his tryout into a contract opportunity.
The New York Giants have decided to add cornerback T.J. Moore to their roster, according to Dan Salomone of Giants.com.
“In the wake of rookie minicamp, the Giants signed tryout cornerback T.J. Moore among a series of roster moves,” Salomone wrote.

This signing continues the team’s efforts to strengthen their defensive unit as preparation for the upcoming season intensifies.
What caught the coaching staff’s eye was Moore’s impressive 2024 performance combined with standout pro-day testing results.
His quick feet and fluid movement in coverage situations make him an intriguing prospect for the Giants’ secondary. His versatility shows in his ability to handle both man and zone coverage assignments effectively.
While Moore demonstrated solid skills against tough competition like Alabama last season, deep ball coverage remains an area needing improvement.
The minicamp performance has given Moore a legitimate shot at making an impact when training camp arrives later this summer.
His future with the New York Giants could brighten considerably if he adds more physicality to his game and develops better judgment when taking risks in coverage situations.
The roster changes didn’t stop with Moore’s addition.
The New York Giants also brought back wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey while parting ways with undrafted defensive backs Tommy McCormick from Idaho and RJ Delancy III from Wisconsin in corresponding moves to maintain roster balance.
