The race for this season’s MVP has come down to two players: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder and Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets.
These two titans of the game are currently battling it out in the Western Conference semifinals, giving NBA fans something really special to behold.
Writing on X, Jamal Crawford submitted his two cents on this race for Most Valuable Player.
“SGA IS the MVP…but Joker IS the best player in the world!” Crawford wrote.
SGA IS the MVP …
but Joker IS the best player in the world!

This is a sentiment that many other people throughout the league share.
Jokic has already won multiple MVPs and is a champion and Finals MVP too.
He has been in the spotlight for many years and has achieved so much.
With that being said, he is seemingly only getting better and better over the years.
Because of that, there are many people who think Jokic should win another MVP trophy this year, but most people believe Gilgeous-Alexander will walk away with the prize.
He has been steadily getting stronger over the last several seasons and is one of the most talented young stars in the league.
His Thunder have exploded in an amazing way, especially this season, and Gilgeous-Alexander has been sensational night after night.
This year’s MVP race is between someone who has definitively become a league leader and someone who is up-and-coming and could be the face of the NBA far into the future.
No matter who wins, both of these stars are the very best the NBA has to offer, and basketball fans are in love with what they have done for the sport.
