The Philadelphia Eagles have the best and biggest offensive line in the game.
They built their team like that, and that has helped them execute their vision.
Likewise, that has also led them to be the most dominant team in the league in short-yardage situations.
No one seems to be able to stop their now-infamous ‘Tush Push’ play, which continues to be a topic of debate year in and year out.
With that in mind, Saquon Barkley had one simple message for those who don’t like it: Try to stop it.
“If you don’t like it, get better at stopping it,” Barkley says. “It’s not like a play that we only do. Everyone tries it, we’re just super successful at it.”
Truth be told, it should be as simple as that.
The Eagles aren’t doing anything illegal or against the rules, and it’s not like they’re the only team trying to do so.
More than that, they haven’t needed that play to be the dominant force they are; it only makes them easier.
With that kind of offensive line, Jalen Hurts could’ve easily gotten as many rushing touchdowns as he does in more traditional settings.
That also applies to Barkley, perhaps the most dominant running back in the game right now.
No one is stopping other teams from trying to do the same.
They can bolster their offensive line and try to replicate their success, or they can bulk up on the defensive line to match up with them and hold their ground.
There’s no need to ban a play just because it seems unfair.
If it were that easy, everybody could’ve run it over and over with the same success.
